August 2021 - Monthly Round Up

The month of August turned out to be another busy and successful period for all things 23rd Precinct Music. A series of sensational releases, some much welcomed synchronisation action and excellent writing collaborations well underway.
August began with fantastic news of sync success for our writers Mark W. Georgsson and John McArthur and their track 'Dance Around The Fake Fir Tree'. The festive number which was released in 2017 on Last Night From Glasgow was featured in US series 'The Republic Of Sarah'. Listen to the track here.
A second sync success came later in the month with our writer Stuart McInnes' co-write on 'Good On U' was featured in UK hit reality series Love Island. The track - performed by Alex Hobson & Talia Mar also surpassed four million Spotify streams, a magnificent achievement.
Our writer Toby Woodhouse released 'Euphoria' under his Mr. Sosa moniker. A stupendous debut on world renown label Anjunadeep was only topped by Toby's live stream from the Jurassic Coast. Shot for Anjuna's livestream series, we urge you to stop what you are doing right now and watch it here.
August also seen the release of 'True (Chambray Remix)' on Need Want Records - which has gone on to claim numerous prestigious slots on editorial playlists across Apple Music & Spotify.
There was new music from our writers Scott Forshaw, Alix Robson and Scarlett Lee who teamed on pop-house banger 'But I Do'. A sure fire hit for radio, the pair teamed up a few months back working remotely and immediately hitting it off and conjuring up a sensational track in 'But I Do'. It was snapped up by Notting Hill label NHM LLC and has gotten off to a great start with its digital campaign. Check out 'But I Do' by Scott Forshaw & Alix Robson here.
Futuristic Polar Bears collaborated with upcoming & coming singer-songwriter Franky on 'No Tears Allowed'. Another excellent display of our writers Rhys Buckley, Fran Cosgrave & Luke Hayes' great writing and production skills & showcasing a depth in their ability to create more pop-focused music. 'No Tears Allowed' is out now on Protocol Recordings.
The trio also released their remix of 'Feel The Fire' by Mr. Black and Richie Loop on Skink. A return to the big-room energy that Futuristic Polar Bears are renown for.
This month saw the release of 'Deliverance' by Kydus. A fun progressive track co-written by 23rd's Susie Ledge and released on one of the hottest labels at the moment Stress Records. Packed with hypnotic trancy elements and melodic synths this record is definitely one for a sweaty dancefloor.
Our writer Les Elston released another stalwart in his catalogue of hard trance. 'Reformation' was given the remix treatment by Nick the Kid. Released on Hard Trance Europe, check it out here.
Ryan Sewell released a couple new tracks this month with his synonymous vocal house style. Firstly 'River' with Italo-disco producer Marco Lys was released on Superfett Records and that was quickly followed with 'Clap Your Hands For Love'. The latter being a collaboration with Tom & Collins and CECILLE. Check it out here.
It was a busy month in the live area with the much anticipated return of major festivals and events - our Anjuna writers Stephen Kirkwood and Richie Blacker took to the stage at Ministry Of Sound. Performing their recent Anjunabeats releases 'Gas Lighter' and '2 Late 4 Love' respectively to a souped up crowd.
