January 2022 - Monthly Round Up
Wow, it's been a second but we're back with our monthly updates, rounding up and celebrating all the amazing projects our publishing roster have contributed to. It's been quite the start to 2022 so without further ado, let's get stuck in.
Our writer Ryan Sewell celebrated his birthday and cowriting on the brand new Purple Disco Machine track in the month of January. 'In The Dark' is the hottest new disco-pop collaboration between the German star and Sophie & The Giants. Signed to Sony, it has amassed over 1M Spotify streams alone in its first week and is tracking on every single major radio station in Germany. We can't wait to see this track flourish into a global hit - check it out here.
In amongst writing smash hits, Ryan also released a collaboration with KEPRI. On writing and vocal duties, Ryan delivers a mysterious vocal performance on 'SNOW' and is out now on WS.
It was a big month for Richie Blacker - fresh off the blocks for 2022 and back on our in-house record label Limbo Records with 'Space Cadet EP'. It marked the label's triumphant return to vinyl after a small hiatus, and also features the exclusive and exceptional graphic skills of RYCA [famously of Fatboy Slim]. Alan La Porte is off to a flying start in 2022 with a series of releases already lined up under his Covenants alias. He kicked off his year with an adaption of Eternal/Monica's 'Angel Of Mine' which was snapped up and released by Selected. Teaming up with fellow producer Clear Six and epically talented vocalist GIA on this one, it's gathered a series amount of playlist support across digital streaming platforms.
He also co-wrote and released original track 'Call On Me', a pop dance anthem featuring the soaring tones of Mila Falls. Released on US label Uprise Records, we absolutely adore this record - check it out here.
Our writer/producer Stuart McInnes also kicked off his year in style with the release of 'Nights Like This'. The results of a 2021 songwriting session with the immensely talented production duo Jac & Harri where Stuart holds songwriting and vocal credits. This one doing the damage on Gemstone Records / Revealing Recordings, have a listen here.
There is no doubting the talents of our writer/producer/artist David Forbes - he started his 2022 much the same way as he ended 2021, leading the Beatport charts, releasing epic tracks and working on a number of exciting collaborations. His track 'Delirio' making big impressions of 'A State Of Trance' and holding a position in Beatport's top 10 tracks for most of the month.
David and fellow 23rd Precinct producer Mark Sherry released an EP of monstrous remixes of their 'Thick As Thieves' tracks - check these hard hitting techno tracks here.
Jardin Owens has made a move away from his established trance identity and submerged himself into the world of progressive house. His latest release 'Strangers' cementing a play on Scotland's BBC Introducing show this month - a fantastic achievement for Jardin. Released on Blackhole's Avanti Recordings you can check it out here.
Wraiths - a collaborative project involving 23rd Precinct's Colin McKellar & James Allan released the official video for their single 'Call For Revolution'. Packed with energy and wrath, the trio are set to make waves with a string of releases already lined up for the year ahead. Check out the video for latest single here.
The dynamic duo of Elliot Chapman & Stuart Braybrooke celebrated their first release of the year. Collaborating and co-writing a very classy vocal house track with Ruff Loaderz. 'My Life Is Changing' is a heart-warming track with a summer pool party vibe - out now on Escape Records.
Toby Woodhouse as known as house/breaks producer Mr. Sosa was back on one of the hottest electronic labels about - NeedWant. He returned with 'Ride', a hazy breakbeat house track with ethereal vocals and melancholy synths - one of our favourite releases to date.
Mustafa Alici & Jessica Alici released their first music of 2022. Under their alias' NEM3SI$ and Jesika Jane, 'Destruction' getting the remix treat by Bultech. Check it out here.
