March 2023 - Monthly Round Up

Another busy period for all involved at 23rd Precinct HQ. With plans ramping up for the 30th anniversary of in-house label Limbo Records and a series of sensational releases involving 23rd clients, it was another successful month.

Alix Robson jetted off to Miami Music Week to mingle and network with the biggest names in dance music. Meetings, parties and sessions a plenty, we're pleased to see Alix grasp this opportunity with both hands. She also celebrated the release of 'Inhale', a collaboration with Canadian based producer FVZ in the month of March.

Producer and artist Jardin Owens had a productive month releasing two track 'Lines' and 'Coming Home', released on Elliptical Sun Recordings and Pattern respectively. Another BBC Introducing play was warmly welcomed this month and Jardin's ever growing catalogue continues to make an impression on the progressive house scene.

Our writer/producer Stuart McInnes celebrated the release of 'Golden' on Monstercat this month. A collaboration with Oracle and the amazingly talented Nina Carr. The track was also added the soundtrack for the latest edition of Rocket League - a marvellous sync spot and great achievement.

Our new publishing addition Paul Denton teamed up with 23rd Precinct legend David Forbes on the mind melting trance banger aptly titled 'Bang'. Released on Armada's Who's Afraid of 138 imprint, it's a solid addition to the catalogue and packs an unrivalled energy.

Sarah Jane Neild enjoyed more music getting released. Her co-write and featured vocals on 'Touch Me Like This' was given the remix treatment by Yvvan Black. The new adaptation brimming with piano house euphoria and the perfect soundtrack to those chilled days spent by the pool.

Ryan Sewell also know as Rion S stepped up his release schedule this month with two more tracks added to his catalogue. Firstly teaming up with Felix Leiter on a sassy tech house track 'Freak With Me' and following that up with a collaboration venturing into that darker techno culture sphere with 'Tear Gas' alongside Andy Santangeli.

There was new music from Richie Blacker who had his second successive release on Armada Music. This time teaming up with Scottish vocalist Serena Sophie who brought her distinct angelic wispy tones to another stellar track by Richie. 'Is The Answer Love' is out now and you can check it out here.

DJ/producer/Label founder Choopie released 'Berez - I'm Stoned' on his Agnosia Black label imprint. Known for his progressive anthems, Choopie draws on influences from all over the world giving his productions a real eclectic and genre defying sound.

We were ecstatic to bring on a long term friend of the company Steven Galloni recently for publishing. He released his debut track 'Shut Down' with Jacque Saravanté this month, seeping in a mysterious, moody and dark warehouse realm, it's an impressive debut from the Scots/Italian producer better known as Big Gal.

Our producer Turner also made their debut this month on the pop dance anthem 'Lavender'. Released on Perfect Havoc, it's got that Ibiza opening party feel with a cool house beat and stunning vocals from Becky Grinhan.
