THE SAY AWARD 2018

The 6th edition of the Scottish Album of the Year Award is here. A glorious opportunity to revel in the success of Scottish music 2017-18. With previous winners including Sacred Paws, Anna Meridith and Young Fathers, it's a true testament to the amazing talent rooted here, in Scotland.

The news of 2018's SAY Award comes shortly after the news of SAY's developers SMIA's announcement of regular funding from Creative Scotland. The news has been widely celebrated amongst the industry and there's high hopes for the SMIA's plans from now until 2021. They are committed to invest in business talent and build Scotland's music infrastructure though a variety workshops, documents and other medias. SMIA have worked hard on bringing new opportunities to Scottish creatives as well as continuously running top class calendar events like The Say Award.

This year's nominees include incredible artists spanning across the genres. So many incredible albums on display but here's our top 5!

Pronto Mama - Any Joy (Electric Honey)

Martha Ffion - Sunday Best (Turnstile)
